Great southside ingenuity at work. Our parents and grandparents made it through the other Depression, we can make it through this one.
This smart lady is making it AND blessing others with one of our secrets- warm delicious cornbread. Beverly Davis, like the rest of our peeps, knows everyone feels better sitting around the table with this at the center. Be sure to check out the article; there's even her recipe for "Homegirl's Sweet Potato Cornbread." Marketplace Money, produced in little old B-ham at WBHM (I had no idea!), also features Davis and her cornbread, -click here to see story.
IN ADDITION- they produced this banner and will circulate it among our troops overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan to let them know the southside is supporting them.
Way to have fun and do good at the same time. Go Tigers!
And speaking of B-Ham, I'm still NEEDING pics of PCB, FL east end. Go look at mom's scrapbook and "contact me" as the blog says...
